| Imagine for a moment, arriving to a college where the parking is open and freely available. You enter grounds, incorporating plenty of space and trees and the classrooms are naturally lit, well ventilated, heated/air-conditioned, with chairs, floor pillows and ergonomic balls. Imagine...learning in an environment which is both peaceful and comfortable...well, you've just entered THE HEALTH ARTS COLLEGE (THA College).
| | | The Victorian Training Guarantee
The Victorian Government is improving the training system to make it easier for you to get new skills, or update your existing skills to help you get the job you want.
From 1st July 2009, the Victorian Government will help you pay for a place at a diploma or higher course of your choice through the Victorian Training Guarantee (subject to eligibility).
To find out if you're eligible for a heavily subsidised training place, you can download their Guide for Students information brochure. The brochure outlines the eligibility criteria and options for financial assistance.
For an easy-to-read guide to these changes and how this would greatly benefit you when studying at The Health Arts College, it's worth reading the interview with Brian Knight - Director of the Health Arts College.
Are you aware that up to 70% of your course fees will be paid for by the Victorian Government? Knowing this, do you think you will take up the option of studying Kinesiology, Aromatherapy or Massage?

| New Enrolments in Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas from 1st July 2009
*How do I know if I'm eligible for a subsidised place? If you are an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a holder of a Special Category Visa (for New Zealand citizens), you have met the first eligibility requirment. If you are also under 20 on 1st January in the year when you will be undertaking the course, there are no more requirments - you are eligible!
If you are 20 or older on that date, your provider will ask you what qualifications you already hold. If you are enrolling in a course that is accredited at a higher level than the highest qualification you hold, then you are eligible. For example; if you have completed year 12, that counts as eqivalent to a Certificate II qualification. A Diploma or Advanced Diploma is higher than these, so you would be eligible.
But you would not be eligible for a subsidised place in a course at the same level. So if you have already completed a Diploma or Degree, you would not be eligible for a subsidised place in a Diploma course.
